You only had to see the reaction from the players to him after the Chelsea game when he came back into the team and kept a clean sheet to see what a big presence he must be in the changing room.
Think he would have stayed our number 1 for the rest of the season if he hadn't been clattered by Pedro in the Brighton game.
I think we will look to upgrade the position again but it isn't the most important position we need to strengthen IMO. Wouldn't be upset if he starts as number 1 next season but we will need to be a lot more careful with the playing out from the back. | | | |

Walton is the kind of player squads need to help glue different eras together and avoid complete breakdown from one group to the next. He has been a fantastic member of the squad and it is nice the squad recognised his contribution. He missed out on most of the champ last time, but seriously stepped up this time. He also speaks really well in the media. | |
