Should we try a loan bid for Evan? 22:57 - May 5 with 2314 viewsEireannach_gorm

Napoli seem to be trying to get him on the cheap and they are cost cutting.

No injury prone like Broja wide berth required.

Not sure that is entirely true. Did his cruciate ( like Borja ) but the recent prolonged ankle problem seems to be sorted.

A loan would reduce the jeopardy. I think he is the ideal for our system and is very good in the air.

Would be a great move if we could make it happen, alongside an experienced no.9

82 games in 5 seasons for whatever reason.
And 24 in last two seasons. A massive gamble.

I get that there seems a historic lack of return on investment but 5 seasons ago Evan was 16 years of age. His bruising style of play attracts injury allied with his tender years. I'm not saying we should ignore these issues but a strategy like the treatment of Cajuste could be employed to maximise Evans obvious talent. If its managed well a loan could work well. I think we need good 3 strikers to rotate regularly as the one up top is a thankless and draining task.

We really can't be gambling going into next season.

I know every signing could be a gamble, but lets make calculated one's at the very least.

I suppose you have a point. Now we have snapped up the goal machine that is Chuba Akpom, our Premiership future is secured.
