Hope you garden enthusiasts have protected your tender plants or not been tempted to put bedding plants outside yet.
Wise words from the old timers when I was a young man, never put them out until May is out.

We have no village green, or a shop. It's very, very quiet. I can walk to the pub.

Possibility of a further frost early tomorrow morning also fella.
Retailers have been pushing sales earlier in the season over the last few decades for bedding and the like. Guess the gardening public have followed suit.
It’s beautiful and sunny here too but feckin cold 😁

That’s the only saving grace I guess touch of frost then brilliant sunshine.

Not all plants suffer from frost, but like you said bedding plants do.

Its remained persistently cold at night for a long time this spring. That, coupled with the lack of rain, has meant the veg patch has got off to a very slow start this year. Same with seeds in the greenhouse.

I was born underwater, I dried out in the sun. I started humping volcanoes baby, when I was too young.

Spot on. Very slow germination and growing on.

Need some rain soon too. Absolutely parched. Last spring was very dry for the most part, this spring has appeared to be even drier.

We were just chatting last night about Miss Slave's constant efforts to warn her clients not to waste their money buying bedding plants yet. Some listen, some don't. Hopefully our neighbour has earthed up our spuds as requested when we saw the forecast, it fair took the edge off the joy of watching dolphins and then fireflies yesterday on our honeyhols!!

Wherever you are watching dolphins and fireflies have a great honeyhols with Miss Slave Carol xox

We’re heading out to Malta tomorrow morning and my neighbour is a keen gardener and will taking care of proceedings while we’re away.

We're on Paxos which I can heartily recommend at this time of year...lovely and quiet still. Definitely relaxing more knowing that the grass will be barely growing at home.

Enjoy your time off Lancelot, you will forever be my dreamboat, kisses, Carol.

Edit...bee eaters too, hoping for a tortoise sighting today!

Here on the coast it's ok. Cold, windy but not frosty. Dont often get a frost after Feb. Cover 'em up for the next week.
Then get the toms out.
