I'm not going to say any more in this thread, after this, as I don't think it helps, but this does come from a place of genuine concern, regardless of your feelings on my views.
This thread is/was a tribute to someone who can fairly be called a club legend. You decided, very early, to attempt to make it about MA. It was pointed out to you, several times, that this was not really appropriate. You did, in fairness, go someway towards accepting that. Personally, I would have edited the comment out of my original post, but you do you (although it should be added that you later took great pleasure in pointing out the huge number of downvotes you were collecting, so how sincere your acceptance was is debatable)
I agree personal abuse is not required, however your post was clearly made to get a reaction. A reaction that, fortunately for the most part, was not forthcoming, However, on reading your post some people WILL react and when you do get a reaction, you cannot then complain that you got the reaction you were fishing for (well, you can, as you did, but it was clearly what you were looking for, abusive or not.)
Ultimately, this is/was a thread about Connor Chaplin. There is a time and place for trolling (well, actually, I don't think there is, so let's rephrase...) If there is a time and place for trolling, then this thread is not it.
However, what should be a thread celebrating a fantastic servant to the club, has become a thread dominated by posts about or from you. So rather than making it about MA, you have decided to make this about you. This was entirely avoidable, but honestly, I don't think you wanted to avoid it. You have achieved your aims, but please ask yourself "why?". This isn't and shouldn't be about you.
Like I say, I don't think this is healthy, and it is genuinely concerning. By all means troll people on their own patch, but in this instance, you created the patch. [Post edited 16 May 10:23]

There was a thread about a mural before the Chaplin one.
The usual bunch took over and made it about their hate for Ashton.
This is why I did it, but for some reason, the way "rules" apply on here are exceptionally one sided.
However, Chaplin did say incredibly nice things about Ashton (fact), if he had said the opposite, there wouldve been a 13 pager on it.
