I wonder if there'll ever be gap in the schedule where a lot of those players from L1 onwards - Chappers, JD, Fridge, Freddie etc - who maybe didn't get the send off they deserved on the pitch might get a kind of group testimonial game. Chappers is a modern legend. Absolute baller when on song, not just his finishing but his ability to find pockets of space and pick a pass. Even managed a handful of genuinely impressive performances in the Prem in the autumn and so pleased for him that he got to play and score at that level.
The tributes to him from his teammates are incredible and show what an amazing professional and top human being he is. There can't be many players so universally loved and respected by players and fans alike. |  |
