I left at half time of our home game against Charlton this season just finished… it was 0-0 at half time, having been well in control. I had to pick Yasmin up from Dance East, as the school had organised a dance show she was performing in (we’d not managed to get tickets for it, so went to the match, on the understanding I would leave at ht to pick her up!), so I left thinking it would just be a matter of time before we turned our possession and control from the 1st half into goals…
I tuned into Radio Suffolk whilst waiting and couldn’t believe the change of fortunes I was listening to, whilst waiting for her. I understand I missed probably our worst half of football of the season. |  |

Only time I have was Sheff Weds at home last season. Left during injury time as I had to be on the 5:10 train. Otherwise I'll always stay to applaud the team off, unless the players haven't put a shift in which is rarely the case. |  | | |

After about an hour, that match just before Easter 2011.
Bullard had just put us back in the game at 1-3 with a brilliant goal, the last decent thing he did for us. We then conceded straight away, that bit was even more pathetic than ALB's goalkeeping that night.
Bloody trains were fecked on the way back to London too, only saving grace was that I was out of the country for the rest of the weekend.
I didn't even bother with the last home game of the season after that (Preston, 2-0 win?) as I was still so pissed off about how crap we had been. [Post edited 18 May 15:18]

I never like to leave early, but I left 5-10 mins before the end when we lost 5-1 at home to Norwich in 2011, Jimmy Bullard got our goal I missed their 5th - it was too depressing to watch! |  |

I was in a pub near Euston in 1980 & it was full of Irishmen all awaiting delayed TV coverage of Charlie Nash's World Championship fight with Jim Watt. It's just before the off and a random bloke sticks his head through the door and shouts out "WATT KNOCKS HIM OUT IN THE 4TH ROUND".

Blackburn at home in 2023/24, after approx 6 mins. Had taken my (then) 5 year old to what was his then third ever game, armed with ear defenders etc after 2 previous failed attempts to get past half time (1 boredom and 1 noise). Enjoyed pre match and watched Harry Clarke rifle in the opener early doors, only to turn to the boy and see him burst into tears, and after a few mins of trying to calm him gave up the ghost and left. Just the 6 further goals missed! |  |
