Oxford too? Maybe they had to come clean as we could have given more evidence against them for spying

Am told not. Town didn't give evidence, didn't know it had happened, aside from rumours, until shortly before EFL statement.

The cynic in me also thinks why oxford and town. Both clubs not in the Championship next season hence less likely to bring it up further. If boro dont go up and/ or other champ teams find evidence think saints have a target on their back

Obviously we're now a far better run club than we have been in the past, but I do think some of the oversight on this kind of thing is bizarre. There's been suggestions of this for about a week and we didn't know anything about it or investigate until Southampton admitted it today? We were supposedly convinced to back VAR when we were last in the prem despite knowing it's issues and have then spent 2 years complaining saying its crap. 'Didn't know about Farage attending a tour and he would use it for publicity". I appreciate that one was a lie but still the lack of due diligence seems a bit mad and that's before you even consider the recruitment and lack of scouting knowledge from foreign markets despite supposedly using Brightons player analysis system which is clearly applicable to foreign players.

I know it sounds like it but I'm not really having a go or annoyed I just think some of the oversight from the club is crazy.
