I had a look through the gate yesterday and I think I could see some black steel work in that big fat trench. Don't know what it was but. |
The hole is not structural, it’s a soak away. It’s in the wrong place for a start plus the foundations will be piled. The structural engineers made the club pile the single storey referee changing rooms, to support the weight of a new tier and roof you are looking at some seriously deep piles. It looks like there are going to be 6 of them. |  | | |

Wouldn't that be plastic? Soak aways would rust and collapse if they were metal, they use things that look like plastic baskets which lock together to create a void. Which is then wrapped in a material to keep tree roots out. |  | | |
