I get the need to share the benefit of the final around various host cities, but surely there were better options than Budapest? And I'm sure I read somewhere that CL finals from 2026 onwards would require a 70,000 seater as a minimum - Budapest seats 67k.

Once the Camp Nou renovation is finished, it'll seat 105,000. If UEFA work on the basis that they want 35,000 corporate seats, it would let the two finalists also have 35,000 each. If they want 50% of the stadium, then they'd still get 25k each. It feels odd, even in the context of modern football. The more seats, the more money UEFA can make.

And the more they can pay out to the participating clubs who ultimately need more and more money to pay players, coaches and the parasitic agents leaching off the sport.
| Never forget that on 7th. April 2021, for ITFC, the Game Changed. |
