My daughter was walking home from school, and took shelter under a bus stop on Spring Road, for me to go and pick her up as she got caught in it. Driving along St Helen's Street and Spring Road was like driving in the middle of a river - not seen it anywhere near as bad as that before. |  |

I'd heard it was gridlocked, so rather than try to drive back to my office to collect my stuff and switch lights off etc, I walked back down - I probably got down here and will get home again in much less time than it would've taken in the car. | |
