Celebrity spotting at the World Cup 21:22 - Jun 19 with 679 views

I have no idea and less interest in who all the celebrities are that the World Cup cameras keep cutting to. It's tiresome, just show me the game not some random person not watching the game from a luxury box.

However, I suppose it's a good test for the hellscape that will be the LA Olympics, which will be totally Hollywood and just saturated with random actors and singers. Get used to it.

	Sometimes I think about the frothing lunatics I’ve put on ignore, who will have kept replying to me again and again, but I don’t even realise they exist.

All part of this strange obsession with celebrity that the major channels have.

Every tiresome quiz show over here now has to have celebrity specials as well.

Bunch of non entities desperate to ham up their 30 mins of precious screen time…

I guess they do it because the average viewer has no attention span for no-marks they don’t recognise from some reality shoite or soap opera….

TBF, it's not the BBC or ITV who are doing this, it's the US feed. So I think pretty much the obsession is American (see also how their Traitors is populated by 'celebrities') and we are just downstream. So it's quite nice when, as people say, the commentators make a joke or call it out.
