He is staying at the PentaHotel now known as B+B Hotels. Def info. ITK.

Saw him eating his way through the breakfast buffet, went back for seconds and an extra orange juice which was surprising as he looked more like an apple juice guy.

Important to fuel well, he's got a big day of signing off transfers hopefully.

Did you ask him his favourite cheese?

I think if you go up 80 miles from London you're technically in outer space.

Now that is very, very clever!

RIP Sir Bobby

I kind of agree. I think we all would prefer to live in Ipswich and absorb himself in the community, but it is such a high risk job being in football management, I think it can be understood, why he might not want to do that. I mean Mckenna was what 7th longest manager when he left at 5 years?

He is probably used to being away, and on the plus side he can fully focus on his job when he is down here. So there are definitely pro's and con's.

He will be living in Ipswich for most of the week. I agree it works both ways, family life can be busy, if we're talking about commitment to the role his evenings are going to be pretty free to focus on his work. Its close enough where if he wanted to go home for a night he could be back by 4pm and in the next day for 8. I think I'd come to the same conclusion if I were O'Neil and taking a job at Bromley tbh, with kids settled in schools and what not.

It was nice that McKenna was living in town but also a bit easier for him as he joined before his kids started school.

Nope. The railways established, long ago, that towards-London is UP. So towards-Ipswich (from London) is DOWN.

I can’t agree with this, surely London is down. You go down to Brighton from London for eg.

In the spirit of reconciliation and happiness at the end of the Banter Era (RIP) and as a result of promotion I have cleared out my ignore list. Look forwards to reading your posts!
Poll: With Evans taking 65% in Huddersfield, is the Banter Era over?

He was a wizard at the toast machine, you can tell he has stayed in a lot of hotels as he didn't burn a slice.

No cheese. He hates the French.

In all seriousness I stay in that hotel quite a bit and have seen loads of footballers and managers over the years, however, I think now the away teams stay elsewhere.

But Ipswich is further North, so that's up.

What if you don't travel by rail?

Is Ipswich classed as North or Midlands generally?

RIP Sir Bobby

Fcuking hell PK. We know you don’t want him here, we get that. You don’t have to pick him apart at every opportunity though.

I think I've been pretty fair, thus far?!

I acknowledged that he came across well in his press conference. I want him to do well.

But there are some serious, nagging reservations. Unlike some though, I'd be very happy to be proven wrong. I'm not boxing myself into a corner over this, I just refuse to believe he was the best option at our disposal. Let's hope he hits the ground running in terms of recruitment and playing style.

Ashton didn’t live next door to McKenna

Ok. A mate from Borrowdale passed fake news! Always thought it was kind of sweet.
