Chasing and catching are completely different. They chased Josef Mengele for yrs in South America but never caught him.

It's going to be quite a task to persuade some of these players to come. I really thought we'd see a well connected director of football come in like Florent Ghisolfi at Sunderland. Not sure the degree to which he's responsible for their brilliant recruitment, but I'm not convinced on the pulling power of Ashton and GON. Appreciate it's tough ask...but i really fear for panic buys if first choices don't come.

They caught that beast Adolf Eichmann though and gave him a free transfer to Israel, where his career rightly ended.

Whilst trying to sign these players is exotic, let’s hope the club does its homework and brings in a Taricco and not a Paz.

Given we normally play our cards close to our chest, it’s probably a combination of that and agents using the media. I doubt many, if any, of these early links will come to anything.
