He was in a horrible place right of the 5th, surrounded by long grass. He did walk around a lot before (successfully) hacking his ball out so probably a fair decision assuming he improved his lie or intended area of swing.
Phew - I was thinking about backing him today, but didn't.
A big call effectively to call a golfer a cheat, although no doubt Big Bryson will say he improved his lie inadvertently. [Post edited 17 Jul 21:39]

Okay - so they don't want to call him out as a cheat. But yes, even if he's improved his lie inadvertently, it's still a 2 shot penalty. | |
