| Argentina on 00:16 - Jul 20 by MattinLondon | Totally agree - if we go to the bigger clubs and play like that and get points then I’ll have no complaints. |
Sorry Matt, not for me. I remember years ago when Arsenal was rebuilding part of old Highbury (early 90s) we played them there on Boxing Day. I saw the game and we played a bit like that without the thuggery element and got away with 0-0. There were no cheers or satisfaction from us. It was awful. I know inferior teams have to find a way but there are limits. The blatant cheating, thuggery and anti football last night was a disgrace. They knew that FIFA had fast tracked them to the final and because the match was in the Americas, Argentina were favoured. The decisions throughout went their way and how they finished with 10 men was beyond me. That Parades bloke should have been off multiple times and he wasn’t the only ones. The scenes at the end were dreadful, but Argentina won’t be censured. They were as another poster has described, a stain on the game. They’ve got a track record too. Maybe Sir Alf was right when he called them animals. | |
