That's not too far away from how I would see it - noting that there can be an additional 4 players in the squad (assuming Egeli stays).
In addition to what you have below I'd expect to add a 3rd keeper, another defender (LCB - competing with Greaves), a RWB, a back-up LWB (unless that role can be filled by a combination of Johnson and Greaves), 2 CM's, and a starting striker. With one of Taylor or Nunez and Mehmeti probably out the door to make space? | | | |

This is all speculation... We sign a LCB and a RB. If we play 4-2-3-1 at any point, then he doesn't start. Diop will. O'Shea won't be someone we change the shape of the team for, rather GON feels weird need to be more defensive, and therefore he plays or comes on. He is the sort of quality we need in our back up team. | |

I think we'll sign another 6+ players this summer (on top of the 3 you've listed that aren't in yet, with no guarantees we get them) so its probably too early to say.
I wouldn't be surprised if O'Shea & Davis are the only regular starters from our promotion side. The likes of Jack Clarke, Philogene (if he stays), Matusiwa, Greaves etc have roles to play no doubt, but there's going to be a huge churn this summer which we've only seen the start of. I think the wingback system will get the best out of Davis, Johnson, Greaves and probably O'Shea and Burns too, less so for Furlong, Mehmeti and Nunez.
An alternative is O'Shea plays as right back again - as he did last time in PL when Tuanzebe was injured, obviously the other option is he doesn't play but as the club captain I can't see that happening too often | |

I would be surprised if we went with a '4' of Johnson Matusiwa New CM Davis.
Looks weak to me. Davis will start. A new CM will definitely be signed to play. I wouldn't be overly surprised if another new CM was brought in to play over Matusiwa. Johnson will likely be back up, but it appears we are in the market for that position. |  |
