AZ are apparently looking for £17 million for him, is that worth a punt?

I thought thats what West Ham bid but they want 30m ( both fees in euros)

Fair enough, I think he is someone we could get. and I'd not be too unhappy with that option.

I think parrot, Emersonn and Akpom would be an absolute disaster but I’m an incredibly negative person.

I’d be happy with Emerson, Parrot and Flemming. Parrot for 17m and Flemming roughly the same. Move Akpom on.

Troy is a super player but does not suit our current needs. We need a big bruiser in the mould of Drogba, Haaland or Delap to give us a plan B option ( subtle Vs brute force ) to balance out nippy lightweights.

Don't think he's Premier League quality.

Unless we signed Toshio Lake from Charleroi, who is only 5'9", and played him alongside Emerson and kept Palmer in goal.

Then our plan B would be to play Progressive football. Would require a very creative middle 8.

Tbf I'm not sure we've got many lightweights left, average height of signings this summer must be about 6'4 lol

Was it Parrot or Scarlett that Kieran said was one of the best young strikers in Europe?

Troy is 6' 1" but it's the physicality I'm talking about. He does not bully defenders but uses his speed and angle of attack to defeat them. Just talking about the style of player. Our problem the last time in the Premiership was that our lighter skillfully players were strangled by bigger mor physical opponents. Lack of pace was another weakness.

I’d sooner get someone like Tammy Abraham on loan

Not sure that £17 million counts as a punt

Not advocating for Parrott as such was just noting our signings to this point match the profile you were talking about to accommodate the smaller players, including physicality, height was just a quick metric to use.
