Team looks to be bonding well and we just seem a little bit 'mature" (maybe street wise is a better word). Another striker would be good and obvious there are few to leave but I think we'll do ok.

Thing is, we will always be 5-6 away. We will always want better than we have. At some point we need to settle on a team for the season. And hopefully in future the 5-6 will be the total requirement for the summer and the we move to 2-3.
The big fear is if we don’t stay up, we will have a massive overhaul again next summer, and if we get promoted and other massive overhaul.
I am actually bizarrely confident we’ll do ok, actually significantly better than last time. Whether that’s good enough to stay up I don’t know. The minimum for me is we go into the last day of the season with a fighting chance. But somehow I genuinely think we’ll beat that! Fingers crossed. |  | | |

Our defence worries me. It looks like getting caught out very easily. I’d like another centre half in there along side Diop. I just don’t trust Greaves.
We also need a number 9 badly. As it stands we have Emersonn and Akpom if Hirst is off. That doesn’t shout goals. I’m not expecting Emersonn to hit double figures. He needs some experienced help. |  | | |

Goals is my concern too, if Emerson doesn't bag a load, and Jaden and Jack fail to hit the heights of last season there are no goals in this squad.

For a largely new side we look great quite frankly. Not perfect. Susceptable to a ball over the top/through the lines (a big gap sometimes) but that's part of the risk /reward of the set up.
We already find passing space from wide to middle to wide so much more efficiently then last season. It's great to watch.
Well done Gary so far. Bigger tests ahead but couldn't ask for more so far. | |
