Last time a manager went in for former players... 19:07 - Aug 17 with 1130 viewsZx1988

We ended up with Toto Nsiala and Jon Nolan.

Hopefully this pair will be a little better!

Depends how strict you want to be with the definitions. Im pretty sure mckenna coached Williams and Axel at man utd.

Weren't a couple of Cook's signings former players of his too? Morsy at least?

Good point.

Was thinking more in terms of the 'raiding their previous club' aspect of it.

Although that was league 1 coach, never having coached at the level, who ended up being out of his depth. And whatevwr Gary ONeil is, he has plenty of PL experience...

I would be a lot less excited about Enciso, who I felt made us worse as a team, if GoN hadnt worked with him

I don't think he made us worse as a team, he just highlighted how far off the level the majority of the others in the team were

Morsy, Chaplin, Walton, Evans and probably others that I can't think of off the top of my head in Paul Cook's summer business.
