Why, did it go faulty?
In the SARU it was so much clearer - we could actually understand what was being said rather than the normal muffled mess.

Yes, I could hear the announcements fine; sometimes the music was a bit quiet in the SBR lower, but that could have been the crowd noise cancelling it out. But a massive improvement. [Post edited 23 Aug 11:44]

I sit in block 4 of the Lower North and honestly, I'm not sure it was even switched on there.
For example, I couldn't hear what any of the mascots were saying when they did their normal, "What's your name? Favourite player? What will the score be?", even early in the day when not many fans in. |  |

dunno about lower but upper North still had the old speakers installed that they presumably couldn’t be arsed to remove. |  | | |
