I’m quite pissed, but mark my words we’re a much, much better side than we were last time out at this level. It’s light & day.

We’ll be bottom 6 or so but I really think we can stay up. Especially so with 1 or 2 big additions in the next week or so.

Absolutely.

We just look far more equipped for this level this time. Not sure of the exact stat but something like last time we had a squad starting the season with 30 or so prem or top flight appearances and this time it is 400+
Experience is crucial at this level and we just didn’t have it last time round.

Poll: Is it now time to sack Paul Cook?

Yup.

TWTD CP. Evans Out.
Poll: Neil Young or Lynyrd Skynyrd - there is no middle ground.

100%. And there is so much room for improvement. Sunderland looked like a team that have been together for a while, we looked like what we are - a brand new team still getting used to playing together. But we were at their level.

Today filled me with confidence. It won't be easy but I think we will cause problems for a lot of teams this season, especially at Portman Road and especially if Enciso stays fit.

We looked like a Premier League side, so much for savvy than last time out.

We are indeed. The differences to two years ago are enormous. We competed today, rather than try and hang on as we did most of 24/25

We have players with size and no little skill. You can see the experience and the relentless energy of some of them.

Encisco was ridiculously good. He terrorised them. Emerson is promising and linked well. All the new players did well. Fatawu didn’t I impress me first half. He did second. Nunez never gave the ball away. Plenty don’t think he’s good enough. I do. Quick feet and great awareness.

Special mention for Davis. He looks the part now. A proper PL player. Greaves and O’Shea? Really good.

I’ve heard a lot about how Clarke is a Championship level player. I disagree.

All in all we did fine. I thought a draw was a fair result, but we took our chance when it came, so well done them. We are further forward than I thought we would be at this time.

We went toe to toe and even edged out a very capable side. For them to make 2 mistakes and be ruthlessly punished was exactly our experience 2 years ago.

A couple more additions needed, but it looks like we've had a good window. Sasa Lukic is going to fast become my favourite player. He can be our Xhaka
