Definitely errors led to the chances, but there’s always gonna be chances for a team like Liverpool. They’re always gonna force errors but what you want when they do get through is the keeper it to make it hard as possible not let one through his hands at the near post and then get caught completely out position | |

Have we tried not hounding players out after a couple of games because they've not been perfect? Scherpen was solid against Sunderland and kept the score down against United. Yes, he won't be happy with the goals tonight but neither are howlers.
We are losing 2-0 against a team that was able to sub one £125m player off for another £125m player. The premier league isn't one league any more, it's 3 or 4 mini leagues aiming for the title, the champions league, the minor european places, and survival. We are in that last one - Liverpool will hope they are in the first, and Man Utd in the second of those.
Before the game, GoN said that it was the fans that were the difference against Sunderland. The team needs our support to get the best out of this seasons. Lets not throw it away because of 30 minutes of poor play across two games against two of the biggest clubs in world football. | | | |

Early days, but Scherpen is shipping > a goal a game atm. Came off line and was lobbed at Man Utd, beaten at near post at hand-height for first, and in no-mans land coming off his line again for second tonight.
I don't think we can afford to play him into form. If we wait as long as we did with Muric in 2024/5, it'll be too late, we'll be down. Walton is a known quantity. Any other position, Scherpen would be taken out of the firing line. | | | |
