points from the next 3? 13:22 - Sep 7 with 2432 viewspositivity

(i know they're split by a massive international break, but they're all games where we have a realistic chance of getting something)

par for survival would be 4 points (DLW), but would love to get a point or 2 extra

bit of a shame that the 2 away games are first.

what do you reckon?

Im working on the basis this group is going to be a different proposition to the last group. I will go with 5 but no one should be under any allusions, they are all dangerous teams in their day but i do think we are going to build into the season so if we only end up with 2-3 that will be disappointing but not the end.

There are two games at the end of oct we will win to get things going nicely!

Given the opponents and how two of them, in Palace and Fulham, are probably relegation rivals, and Everton who have had a pretty disastrous window, we should be aiming to return at least six from those three games. Four would be just OK, but we really need to pick up a couple of wins in this section IMO.

The world’s best leagues all come to a halt so the candlestick makers of Andorra can play the bakers of Malta in the Nations League.

It’s a load of bollicks really isn’t it. They could do a round of internationals before the season starts really.

I still think games should go on regardless of international games

Afterall, most squads contain players who could go out and have a game, PLUS there are u21 and u18 sides too.

Mix it up a bit too

As I said on another thread.

The next two games are massive—quite possibly the most important of our season.

Four points would take us to the magic seven after five games. Historically, promoted sides reaching that mark have had an 85%+ chance of survival, with only three relegated during the 20-team Premier League era.

Finish on six points, however, and the historical survival rate drops sharply to just 28.6%.

Also, with this in mind, it's more likely than not that Hull will stay up. So we will likely need to finish above Coventry and two established Prem sides to stay up, rather than just the one established side.

Less than 3 bad
3 is ok keeps PPG after 6 (but I’d say not great as 4 of them would be against teams we are targeting)
4 is alright
5 good
6 excellent
Anything more is superb

Could be a massive a chance to get 2 wins if we can nick one of the away games as I fancy us against Fulham at home.

It's hard to predict. I would be very happy with 4 points from those three games. 5 or 6 would be amazing. Even just 3 points wouldn't be the end of the world.

We should be looking to beat Fulham at home. The two away games will be tough, but certainly possible to get a point from at least one of them.
