I was concerned we were too open, happy O’Neil wasn’t as conservative as I was wanting and we’ve actually taken the game on a bit despite the frailty at the back. We do need another goal but if we score again I’d say we’ll see it through. |  |

But the thing is Leif has been asked to play this role for 4 or 5 years. It's clear how he's asked to play and how a midfielder should drop in, just like Luongo used to. Maybe current players need to get up to speed with that but with an assist and a goal he's doing exactly what he's been doing since the League One days. | | | |

What has that got to do with defending? Lief has made a goal and scored one but his primary job is as a defender. The defence as a unit is all over the place and Lief is being compromised by our two centre halves poor positioning and our best defender playing out of position. Maybe that's a negative view but it is the evidence of my own eyes. | | | |
