We're what? 10% of the way through the season, let's not write them off and be so dismissive because a lot can happen over the remainder of the season.
Always worries me to see posts being almost disrespectful to other teams as these sort of comments have a tendency to come back and bite you in the a**e.
We're sitting nicely on our expected points return, but Coventry should really have 3 on the board.
I think they should stick with Lampard, we've shown them what patience and a plan can do and they'd be in a great position to keep him whatever, knowing he can bring them back the season after better prepared. |

It should be thirteen games, as that gives a fair representation of different quality of opposition, Home and Away, and still gives a new manager both time to correct things and a transfer window.
But you have emotionally flamboyant owners, impatient fans, the needs of 24 hour rolling sports news channels to constantly create speculation chewed over by ex-pros, and narcissistic YouTubers crying when their team don't live up to the aspirations they need for their subscriber count to enable a move to Dubai, all swirling around in a dystopian, drunken, Wedding Party Hokey Cokey.

Norwich sacked Farke. He was, and still is, a very good manager. He added value beyond the squad budget. Now, at a bigger club, he is getting the opportunity to show what he can really do.
Frank Lampard has flattered to deceive over his career, in the main, with rare incredible highs amidst general mediocrity, relative to budget in the League he was managing in. I was surprised he managed to turn Coventry into such a consistent points machine last season, and no one can accuse him of inheriting a hugely expensive squad, nor of having the biggest budget.
So he should have huge credit in the bank from Coventry owners and fans.
If they are still bottom three, but have put some points on the board (say, 8?), after 12 games I think he should be given the benefit of the doubt.
But if a team loses ten on the bounce, and particularly if they don't score, then all the credit in the bank has been drained and the manager is in serious Overdraft territory. | | | |
