Yea it's like everywhere else really isn't it with different levels. At least in the UK there is universal healthcare though.
I would imagine the US is amazing if you're in the top 20-30% of earners and have a bit of financial sense. Seen a lot of posts on the likes of Reddit of people really struggling. There seems to be a growing backlash amongst service workers that you shouldn't be eating out if you don't tip some obscene amount. Is that something you are seeing? I don't mean those obviously fake AI generation ones on social media with fake notes on receipts etc. |
Yes, I think about 20% of adults earn 6 figures so that does provide opportunity for a good lifestyle but not a country to be down on your luck, that's for sure.
Got to say since Covid it's changed a lot for the worse for the eating out etc. It used to be amazing, happy hours $3 beers and apps and then for service and you wouldn't mind throwing down the 20% -25%.
Now it's expensive all over.
Give me an 11 Euro Pizza in Europe and a couple of nice beers in the sun any day of the week. |  |
