I was there that day. Wedged into the North Stand. I literally couldn't move my arms it was so packed.

| Who else can't on 12:29 - Oct 28 by Bassett_Blue | I also can't remember an 8 goal thriller. The 4-4 with Charlton, no not that one, the one at Portman Road in 1990. The only thing I can really remember is being sat up in the Pionner Stand and feeling overwhelmed at how high up it felt. It was also on my mum's birthday, don't know how my dad tangled that! |
Was there for that as a 13 year old!

Listened to it on Radio Orwell and cried when the winner went in.

| Who else can't on 08:36 - Oct 28 by Greg_Norton | Pretty sure it was Luton 82/83. Gutted my old man is no longer around to confirm it though as it has irked me for years. Remember where we were seated in the Cobbold. [Post edited 28 Oct 8:57]

Likewise, my old man is no longer around to ask. I know that we moved to north east Essex in the autumn/winter of 1974 and I was 11 years old. My Grandad, who lived in Ipswich, was already a season ticket holder and I know we started going to games with him as soon as we moved. So it was either Leeds United, Manchester City, Liverpool, Stoke, Coventry or Carlisle United. Amazing to think Carlisle were a top flight team.

68. Not an Ipswich resident at the time and a couple of years away from taking a very keen interest in music but would that have been Andy's Records that supplied the PR sounds?

| Who else can't on 09:35 - Oct 30 with 90 views | Merthyrblue | Bit strange for me. I vividly recall seeing most of the second half of a cup match v Oldham in January 1964. In the days when they opened the gates at some point after half time. I was only 6 and sitting on my Dad's shoulders. I can very clearly remember Gerry Baker heading one in and we won 6-3. As for my first full match, I have no idea but I have the odd programme from 65/66 season. | | | |
