been a long time since GB had the #1 men's seed and a #6 seed in the women's. Has GB tennis ever been stronger than it is now?

Kyle Edmund is pretty decent. He's currently in the top 50

And if you count Bedene (who switched to become British) then we have 3 men in the top 50. In fact I would expect to see all 3 of them make it to the 3rd round at least. The issue is there is no one who has been able to make it into the second week of a slam other than Murray

I think Edmund got to the 4th round in the US open last year.
