Microsoft office help please 11:40 - Nov 27 with 1861 views | Bluefish | Looking to buy a new laptop today and need some help. You seem to need to add Microsoft office to it and many only seem valid for 1 year. Alternatively I can buy a proper version with it for 70 quid. Is this the best way?? In the past I have just bought office through work for about 15 quid but I have since changed jobs I am not looking to buy a Mac before anyone helpfully suggests it

But that would be the cheapest option of the 3

Nowadays there are so many updates I pay monthly for it - it will be the Pro version unless they are all same same nowadays. I think it costs me about £8 a month but I would have to check.

Entirely depends on what you need to do - nothing compares to Excel in the spreadsheet arena. For documents your suggestions are of course absolutely fine. SB
