QPR FFP 15:58 - Jan 5 with 2038 viewsGeoffSentence

Did QPR appeal the £40m fine that they were handed for FFP in October? Anyone know if there has been any movement on that?

Appeal was rejected and they have to pay it as far I'm concerned

They had until the end of November to appeal & they said they would, but I haven't heard any more than that. I presume the strategy is to keep on appealing until either they go back into admin again or the FL get bored & forget about it.
Bournemouth & Leicester are potentially in the dock for the same offence, but in the mad world of English football the FL have no jurisdiction over them until they get relegated.

Nah, that was the arbitration that awarded them the £40m fine, they had until November 20th to appeal that.

Frustrating, isn't it. If this had been properly dealt with by the FL 2 or 3 years ago, other championship clubs would probably have reigned in their spending making it a more equal league (financially).

You would hope that the chairmen/owners of all FFP compliant clubs are constantly on the backs of the FL making sure something is done soon to enforce FFP and punish those who have ignored it.

They have changed the rules anyway. Evans could throw twice as much at the club, each season, and still be within the rules.

FFP is a red herring, Evans isn't in a position to throw £13 m a year into ITFC.

Even Milne/Evans don’t use FFP as an excuse any more!

It was a convenient cover for Evans lack of meaningful investment but that ship has sailed.

Shocking situation really. Saw that they beat a number of clubs to the signing of Dalling...so seems to be business as usual there.

Poll: If we sign one player in the Jan window....
