The problem remains SB. Without a win all the good work Lambert does is moot.
Tough ask to win tonight for sure but that first half was poor considering he had the international break....we looked slightly naive in approach in the first half against a solid and very decent West Brom.
If we play that like that against Brizzle we will struggle as well. Second half was better but only really marginally. | |

Agreed. There’s progress, but too many are not good enough. He can only do so much with team shape and understanding, but when people make the wrong decisions or can’t win their individual battles, it’s going to be very tough. It’s as simple as that.
But better than it was and it gives us a little bit of hope. This team needs more quality in Jan though if we’re to stay up. Quite a bit more imo. |  |

Agreed. There’s progress, but too many are not good enough. He can only do so much with team shape and understanding, but when people make the wrong decisions or can’t win their individual battles, it’s going to be very tough. It’s as simple as that.

That's it really - he's hampered by a lack of quality. For all the work our front line puts in just one of Waghorn or Garner would make a huge difference. Agree about January - if we can stay in touch with safety then Lambert will know exactly who he needs to bring in to help us climb out. |  |
