The Bart loan 12:31 - Jul 30 with 820 viewsBluefish

It is quite normal for a relegated club to loan their high earners out to regain their value or to come back once they are promoted back. This is normally done by the new club paying his wages to the old club. Bart however surely has a relegation reduction clause so I wonder how this will work because his new club will he paying more than what we are paying him.

ME insisting on the wages being paid in cash through him and skimming it. #definfo

West Brom did it last year. Rondon to Newcastle.

Relegated Prem clubs seem more often to loan players to the continent when they join Championship, the big earners anyway.

The strategy is simply...

We loan our out earner to the league above. We bounce back as champion's and take Bart back into the fold for back to to promotions

Why would they be paying him more? His contracted wage for this year is his L1 wage and that is what we, and anyone else is on the hook for

Why would he go on loan then? If he is going up a level he will be expecting more. Surely for the same wage he would prefer to stay close to home

Because he wants to play at a higher level?

There may be further expenses paid to him to cover renting somewhere etc but he is unlikely to be on a higher wage
