He wouldn't have come in and fecked everyone off for a start, so yep there's no way he'd have been worse just from the man management point of view.

How the hell did Evans have several meetings with the guy and decide 'yep, he's the one for me'? I was all for giving him a chance, but the alarm bells were ringing after his first couple of press conferences.

Probably as Doig wasn’t in the interview process. I’d have Shefi in a heartbeat as our manager.

I couldn’t believe it that people were calling for him to be our manager. I remember reading an interview on TWTD when he was pitching for the job - he basically said nothing was his fault and blamed other factors.

We did end-up with Hurst but I doubt if Shefki would have fared better.
