Wigan winning 20:23 - Jul 22 with 646 views | TheTrueBlue1878 | Staying up on goal difference right now if that points deduction is inflicted. Would be delighted for them, no way do that group of players/manager deserve to go down this year, they’ve been very good.

Wigan winning on 20:49 - Jul 22 with 588 views | N2_Blue | Its an amazing effort but i can't agree with it. If a club goes into admin it should be an automatic relegation or denial of promotion in in those places. What is the penalty to Wigan this season if they lose 12 points but it doesn't move them into relegation places Nothing but for a slight loss of prize money through league placings. Why 12 points and not 15 or 20 points etc. Points deduction should be for more minor financial indiscretions, but going into admin imo should be automatic relegation so that clubs (owners) know the ramifications of financial mismanagement

In normal circumstances, yes. However, Wigan's case is anything but normal. The stories surrounding it range all the way from 'slightly unseemly', all the way down to 'downright bent'. When there are serious suggestions having been made that the plunge into administration is all part of a ploy to get the club relegated in order to satisfy a bet made in the Far East, I don't think you can apply the normal rules in Wigan's case.

I can see the EFL docking points that would put them level with the 3rd from bottom side, but as Wigan have the superior GD they’ll avoid relegation. The response of the club, management and the players since administration has been magnificent.

No I agree, but I’m my post I specifically alluded to the group of players/manager. When you look at the boardroom antics and conspiracy theories surrounding the owners. Forget points deductions, them people should not be anywhere near football.
