Brathwaite was Anderson's 500th too.

Just imagine how a crowd would have responded.

Well done Broady.

Yes, real shame there weren't fans there.

Jimmy's 500th was a great moment, especially as it had rained most of the day beforehand.

Great performance, if he bats reasonably well in the next couple of years he could even make 4,000 test runs as well. Jimmy's bowled quite well this morning too.

And, fittingly, Broad takes the final wicket to make it 10 for the match. 5 for Woakes today too.

This has been a good win and a really enjoyable series.

For some on here it may have been enjoyable but for me is has been anything but. Poor bowling, poor batting all round. The fact that WI has mainly selected one day players in a test match squad has been poor. The 5 day game is something that the Windies don’t really focus on and though it’s good to see them play the 5 day game, they players selected haven’t adapted.

The West Indies are a side in trouble and though you cannot compare them against the likes of Chanderpaul, Lara, Hooper, Haynes, Greenidge and the likes, there doesn’t seem to be any decent players coming through in the 5 day format.

Gutted to lose, but England did play exceptionally well.

Well done.

You're being a bit harsh on your side I think. The lack of depth in the bowling showed for this Test but it didn't look like WI gave up until this innings. Yes, the batting isn't consistent enough but there are enough players who can bat that they can get decent scores - see the first Test.

As much as anything else, three Tests in as many weeks has worn them down more than England.

The West Indies are very much like Ipswich really? Years ago they were a team to battle. Had good players and were up there with the best of the best. It’s a shame that only a few years later there seems to be no more fight and heart in the 5 day game.

As a WI fan, I only ever look forward to one day games as that suits the current batch of players. Big slugs, quick runs, cheap run outs... where they just don’t have that in the 5 Day games. Our second innings today was something that you would post in a 20:20 game. The batsmen looked well out of their depth. Their footwork was poor, Chase getting run out was abysmal and their line was just absurd with poor LBWs. It honestly isn’t good enough.

If you didn't hear it, one of the Windies spoke at length & v. interestingly on their team on TMS after the end of the game (might have been Braithwaite?).

But as Vaughan said later -

"England are a better team in these conditions but we owe the West Indies a great deal.

I dread to think where the game would be in this country right now if they hadn't agreed to come over.

They should be rewarded with a series or two from the big three countries in the game."

It's been a v. enjoyable series for us fans too, esp having been so starved of live coverage of any sport for so long. Well done Windies & England.
