If you were ME now would you not take the view that you either gamble and spend some money on transfer fees to get promotion

OR

Realise the huge risk if this club does not get promoted next year that he could be stuck pumping wasteful money into a club going nowhere for the foreseeable future and therefore look to sell up

He's given Lambert at least two generous(for the division) budgets to play with and he's wasted them. Giving him a third would be madness.

I'm one of the people who was blamed for getting Paul Cook sacked. PM for the full post.

Somewhere in the middle. We only need a couple of the RIGHT players in the correct positions. We have a huge squad, so trim that to make room and the money for a couple of quality players to take us up. They have to be potentially good enough for the Championship.

Or realise we'll probably be self sustaining in this division with this salary cap and hope we become at least a yoyo club between here and the Championship where he can gradually regain his investment if we go up again.

If we break even in this league from now on, go up and get £7m-ish more money he could reclaim about £5m every time we go up/stay up for another season.

Truly impaired.

Do not apply the rationale of a football person to ME.

The most sensible thing he could have done at the end of the season was sack Lambert and Install either McGreal or Burley and Dyer.
