Happy enough with Hawkins. Didn’t think we really needed a keeper but Wright and Przybek obviously aren’t rated so Cornell should be decent backup for Holy.
Ward I’ve always thought was crap so can’t imagine he’s going to be any good at 34, but anything that keeps Kenlock out of the team is a good thing I guess |  |

I don't really understand Hawkins, but what do I know. None of them seem to fit into the supposed plan of 'spotting and nurturing players with room to develop' either.
I'm thoroughly underwhelmed at where we are right now. If i had confidence that Lambert could mould them into a decent team, I might be happier. But I don't. We need standout talent who can make a difference on their own imo, and none of these are close.

I reckon it's a Frankenstein-type thing. Use Ward's footballing brain, Hawkins body and Cornell's spring and you've made yourself a handy 'Paul Mariner' type of striker on the cheap. |  |
