Predictions on the boxing tonight? on 13:23 - Aug 22 with 675 views | Herbivore | Whyte should have too much for Povetkin. Povetkin is a good fighter but he's passed his best and he can be hurt by big heavies with decent power like Whyte. The danger for Whyte will be if he gets complacent and is looking beyond Povetkin as Povetkin has a good dig and fast hands and Whyte can be hurt. Intriguing fight but if Whyte is focused then I see him stopping Povetkin mid to late.

I wonder if Povetkin’s experience will cause Whyte problems? He’s looked in trouble at times in recent bouts especially the longer it goes on. Has Povetkin got the stamina to take it into those latter rounds? I’d like to see Whyte get his world title shot, he’s waited long enough for his opportunity, but this bout is a real test of his mettle. I’m more confident in Taylor boxing how she usually does, instead of getting drawn into a street fight. Taylor is a real top quality fighter and I reckon she has learnt plenty from their first fight. Good on Eddie Hearn too, these are exactly the type of fights we all want to see, it’s just a pity there won’t be a live crowd to enjoy them.

Povetkin also struggled in the later rounds last time out against Hunter and if Povetkin starts this fight like he started against Hunter then he's not going to last much more than a few rounds with Whyte anyway. I think if Whyte is sloppy then he could be in trouble but if he comes in focused I think he has too much for this version of Povetkin.
