My issue with the 433 PRP seems to have decided on... 10:29 - Aug 26 with 710 viewsITFC_Forever

...for this week anyway, is that we are not good enough / courageous enouth to play it properly, and it will soon end up as 4-5-1, with the forward isolated as we try and play impossible balls up to him while he is marked by two man mountains.

It will soon fail to get results, and we'll be back to the PRP random draw every couple of weeks for the line-up and formation.

I have no faith that PRP will get it right this season. The sooner he is gone, the better.

I love the optimism of a new season. I won't let you bring me down.

Ha.

In all seriousness, it's a ridiculous situation to be in.... a manager that is enormously unpopular has a 5 year contract.
Even if you allow for the fact that the new season is to some extent a clean slate, if / when things aren't going as we hoped, there is no credit left in the bank for PRP and the negativity and anti-PRP sentiment will come out very quickly.

Two more baffling decisions from ME - the first to issue that contract in the first place, and the second to not replace PL when we finished comfortably outside the POs, never mind top two.

The lack of crowd at the start of this season is a godsend for him. He can spout as many 'we played well' cliches and there won't be half the numbers to contradict him.

I'm one of the people who was blamed for getting Paul Cook sacked. PM for the full post.

COVID has well and truly saved him.

I don't think that's fair, the wide options have been Dobra, Lankester, Sears, Edwards, El Miz and they are all, with possible exception of Gwion, attacking players who will get where they need to get to support the striker

Poor post.

Going forward we have more than enough firepower to do some real damage at our level. Norwood, Jackson, Hawkins, Dobra, Lankester, Sears, Edwards, Judge, Bishop, El Mizouni.

Frightening.

We were more in a 4-1-4-1 v Tottenham and West Ham, but we didn't have as much of the ball, a lot more work on the shape out of possession, but they very good football clubs, with deep deep pockets and quality throughout.

At League 1 level, we will be fine this year, Lambert still the man for me.

All the players you listed were at the club last season.

And we barely had the fire-power on the pitch to light a cigarette.

Frightening.
