That substitution of Sears for Judge was odd not just because of the unforeseen injury to Downes but because Kenlock is already shaky, putting on an ill-disciplined attacker like Judge really left a weak spot. But we held out.
Lots of great work from the defence and their blocks and tackles made the game, but those ahead of them and the bloke behind them made some poor decisions. Gwion is so frustrating, another great run and another pass to the invisible man when a goal looked a simple matter.
We’ve got a chance for a bit of a regroup now. Bennetts might fancy a start as either winger or wing back, how severe the two injuries are will really tell won’t they? Ward has been a big factor in guiding others through games and Downes might miss out on being sold and a few weeks of football when a place in the team is up for grabs.
How Lambert gets us to bounce back from this will be very telling. A rather pathetic showing in many respects but we grabbed a goal and a point we didn’t deserve and that might mean we’re going to keep doing that alongside dominating other matches. |  |

I really hope not! I think reasonably he didn’t think he’d get caught out by a freak injury like that but it is hard to condemn him for being brave and fate punishing it. | |

Just don't get the judge for sears sub and then it came to cost us. Just think Judge is too slow for the wide attacking role. That being said Sears needs to do more in games |  | | |

Not sure what happened in that second half, we might as well not have come out of the tunnel for the first ten minutes. Interesting that we have generally looked better going forward than defensively, but over the last couple of games the defence have seemed stronger and we've looked like creating less.
Was a bit surprised to see Sears come off, like you say Kenlock is not very good and Sears does track back, whereas I'm not sure if you can trust Judge to do that.
Annoying thing is that we had a couple of chances even after going down to 10 men, particularly looking at Edwards who for some reason didn't fancy the shot after his run, and I think if we'd got another goal while having fewer men on the pitch, that would have really pissed MK Dons off and rattled them a bit.

I thought given how bad we were up top, the move where he put one past the post was pretty decent. He certainly pins teams back and some weeks they go in and others they go wide I guess.
I was far less impressed with Edwards in that respect. Judge really should be a CM now if we’re not playing a 10 then making space as an outlet for Dozzell when teams sit deep possibly suits him and us. He made a lovely run when Kenlock overlapped to drop in behind and take a pass ], but there was no one in space to play it too from just inside their half. | |

The first three games were reminiscent of the early part of last season. Today was reminiscent of the latter part of last season. I hope I'm wrong but I've not seen anything to suggest we'll be genuine top 2 contenders. |  |

It was ruddy awful today, it really was, way before Flynn Downes went off.
One game so no one can throw toys out the pram, yet you can’t get away from the fact that that was awful.
Two weeks off to settle a little, give some time to get over some injuries.
Not too many performances like that can happen if you want to be top 6. |  |
