Random football question. 12:11 - Oct 6 with 427 viewsMattinLondon

After watching the Spurs V Man U match. If a player obviously feigns injury after a slight push on him, can he still be booked whilst still sending the perpetrator off straight for violent conduct?

That’s exactly what happened in that match isn’t it? Or am I misunderstanding your post?

My hobbies include being quiet during trips, clapping with songs, and diabetes.

I suppose the problem there is that it becomes a very subjective arena.

How does one judge what an appropriate reaction is, or how much any sort of physical contact hurt?

Was he booked as well? I didn’t realise...thought the Spurs player was sent off and that was all.

Or was the Man Utd player booked as he also sort of lashed out first.

My understanding was that Lamela was booked for his part in the scuffle, rather than his reaction?

I suppose in super slow-mo everything always looks worse or intentional. But often, it’s easy to spot overreaction just like it is to spot an obvious dive.

There's very little that is likely to be done on a football pitch that will provoke a reaction like Lamela's, in my opinion.

For me, once a referee sees a player rolling around like that you should pretty much know he's trying to have you on, especially when it's someone like Lamela.
