I'm guessing that the answer is 'they're not and we're going to see some clubs in serious trouble come the end of the season'.

I'm one of the people who was blamed for getting Paul Cook sacked. PM for the full post.

It's the ones who said that then signed players for cash!

Think it was MK Dons who signed a player for 300k

The situation is different. Clubs will still be losing money but at least they have something to play for. Last season a lot of teams teams could have been worse off from playing as well as financially. It's why I don't think it should be down to the clubs to decide things like that but that's a separate issue.

I assume most of them will have had some season ticket income which allowed them to fulfil their wages and bills in the short term and there are solidarity payments which I assume are paid at the start of seasons. Some must be getting close to being in trouble by now though.

Yes, a combination of advanced payments and loans made available.

Bottom half of this article talks about EFL clubs:

"In view of these cash flow problems the EFL advanced £50m of TV revenue and the Premier League advanced £125m of solidarity and parachute payments to EFL league clubs. "
