Big season for them this time with it being the 60th anniversary of their title win. We have ours in 2021/22.

I (probably) will not ask how many years it is since Naarwich won the title.

I didn't know that about them - worrying, as is their form. Maybe Jose still has it afterall?

I'll ignore your beastly comment about everyone's favorite second team.

Yes. I enjoy reminding Spurs fans that we've won the league more recently than they have, as have Derby, Forest, Blackburn, Leicester...

I was chatting about Leicester, Southampton and Spurs (grudgingly).

Leicester, Premier league Champions a few years back. Spurs are a massive club. Southampton are a small club by comparison to those around them. Every season a club makes a great start and once injuries and suspensions take hold, the bigger clubs catch them up and they slide back to mid table obscurity. Wolves are the club to watch. Very good manager, very good squad and play some good stuff.

Personally, i'd still think of Leicester as a smaller club, despite their title. Put it like this: if they got relegated next year, would it be a shocker, like it would be if Man U or City did?

I might be a little bit bias about spurs, having arsenal leanings, but they've done nothing to be considered big, bar a lucky run to the champions league final.

Maybe not, but Spurs are a massive club. I totally understand what you are saying, but think Leicester can now be considered to be amongst the also rans on a regular basis. Liverpool, Man City, Man Utd, Chelsea, Arsenal and Spurs will be there or there abouts for the foreseeable. Would like Leeds and Newcastle shake that lot up, but unlikely.

Unlike some clubs I could mention, the current top four in the Premier League have all won major trophies in my lifetime.

And none of them have gone into liquidation, or had to seek re-election to the Football League.

You may well be right, but didn't Leicester and maybe even Southampton go into admin a while back? Can't remember...

Admin isn't liquidation.

In all fairness, they are closer to achieving it than we are to repeating it.

Very true but it is still quite likely that in five or more years time we will still be able to say that 'we have won the title more recently than Spurs'.

edit-I assume that you were talking about Spurs and not them from Norfolk.
