I've recently moved house and was just putting something into the loft and noticed a live wasp! Is this anything to be concerned about?
I could see what looked like a couple of very old paper Wasp nests but nothing significant. |  | | |  |

I shouldn't think they'd be doing any building at this time of year.
I've had some quite large nests in my loft a couple of times and they are not that difficult to remove as long as you take sensible precautions and are not at any risk of allergic reactions. |  | | |

I've meant to take one down on a couple of occasions and spray varnish it but the opportunity never arose as such.

I was told they never return to the same nest so at this time of year no reason to remove them.
