Lol I agree. Tbh the coaches have had near close to a month of not playing matches to work on tactics etc..... but according to our players they buy in to what Lambert and his cronies are trying to achieve here. So they must therefore “ know “ what they’re supposed t9 be doing. It’s just so pedestrian and predictable ( certainly for opponents who often just sit back and wait for us to cross the half way line). | |

I thought there was a pretty evident adjustment in how we played yesterday compared to recent matches. Far less shuttling it across the back, and far less Dozzell dropping deep to receive the ball, only to return it straight back to the defender who’d given it to him. |  | | |

The six teams not playing in the league on Tuesday are ourselves, Oxford, Shrewsbury, Swindon, Wigan and Burton.
- We can’t play Shrewsbury as they’re at Southampton in the FA Cup
- We’ve already played Burton twice
- We go to Swindon on the first Saturday in May so wouldn’t want switch that
- We host Bristol Rovers on Good Friday so wouldn’t want to switch that
- We travel to Wigan on the last Saturday in March so wouldn’t want to switch that | |

Another major problem is the lack of recovery time between games. I know people say their professional athletes, but there is only so much a body can take and playing so many games (at any level) only promotes the risk of injuries and strains etc as they aren't getting rested as much.
The flip side is they don't train and then, as you say, things don't get worked on the training ground as much. |  | | |
