Anyone else watching this series on i player?

I'm 3 episodes in and it is really taking shape. It is a little unwieldy due to the scope of it, but as much as anything there are some fascinating bits of history that I was completely unaware of.

If you like his other docs, then you'll definitely like this, as well as the forensic pick through history it has the usual amazing use of music to draw you in.

I'll probably watch it, Curtis does have a habit of trying to tie too much together, making things linear that are more random to fit a narrative though but his stuff is usually worth watching all the same.

I've watched the first two so far. Â Enjoying it. Â Love how he trawls through the historical archive unearthing some real gems in the process. Â Must take him a long time to pull it all together. Â You can tell he takes a lot of care over the final edit weaving the thoughtfully selected music along with the archive footage.

I've got the final one to watch this evening, watched five over the weekend.

Full of really interesting snippets of history and culture, but does fill me with a fair bit of existential dread. Definitely well worth a watch.
