Next season 21/22 attending matches 13:07 - Mar 31 with 870 viewsstevec7

I live in Penzance Cornwall and make the long trip to Ipswich 3/4 times a season with my sons when work allows all of us getting time off together. When do we think we will be allowed to attend games at Portman Road we are Silver Members. Thank you for any replies

I've had in my head that by the time the new season returns in August we'll no longer be seeing restrictions on sporting events, but perhaps that's naive?

Social distancing will probably happen quiet naturally at Portman Road anyway I would imagine, unless there's some clarity on the takeover or an uptick in fortunes over the next 6 weeks.

Presumably it'll depend on how mass vaccination has affected transmission/morbidity & mortality in the mean time?

Well, if we're to believe Boris (I know that's an oxymoron) then all restrictions will be lifted on the 21st June, if that does happen then PR should be open to everyone for the new season.

Yeah I guess so. The thinking behind the gradual easing of the restrictions was with that in mind, to interpret the data before committing to lifting something else. There will be a lot of pressure on the government to get things back to normal ASAP if the data isn't supporting stricter measures, especially after a 2nd summer of pain for a number of sectors.

To be honest, if we're going down the data not dates route then given current trends we should be opening up 7 weeks before the 21st....
