The spirit of Trump lives on on 14:54 - Mar 30 by Darth_Koont
Macron has been demonstrating the classic fishhook theory for a while now.
As someone whom this is probably aimed at, I’m happy to admit that Macron has behaved completely irresponsibly during the last few months. I’d wager most posters of a similar political persuasion will say the same too.

From the golden boy of Europe to a complete shambles.
The French deserve better.
Sadly it’s quite likely to be a choice between Macron and Le Pen. Sadly the Socialist Party candidate is absolutely nowhere in the polls. It makes our choice between Johnson and Corbyn look like a good one.

'Vote for the loon or the nazi'.
Appealing choice.
I'm one of the people who was blamed for getting Paul Cook sacked. PM for the full post.

In the UK we did at least give people the chance to vote for the loon and the nazi at the same time
On that note - I saw a nutter wearing a ‘F@*^ ANTIFA’ T-shirt and a MAGA cap whilst on my run this evening. Utterly bizarre on a housing estate in Essex, not deepest Alabama!!

No necessarily. French politics has been quite unpredictable last few years. Put some money on Xavier Bertrand last year, he could do what Fillon should have done last time if he hadn’t been cooking the books. Needs to get republicans to back him first but has a shout.
It's been living on in the UK for some time as well. Macron has gone full fruit loop lately though (or at least that's the impression we get from our media).

No. But it is Essex. Look at the MPs that are elected there.
