Not good at all :( [Post edited 11 Jun 2021 8:31]

Terrible isn't it? Struggling to understand the logic behind it.

Noise pollution testing on whales in Norway on 08:46 - Jun 11 with 428 views | SonOfSpock | Was always under the impression in the times that i've visited that Norway was quite strict with all things environmental e.g. they wont let certain cruise ships travel up there if they dont meet emissions levels. This however is massively poor form.

Noise pollution testing on whales in Norway on 08:57 - Jun 11 with 413 views | StokieBlue | Awful. I can see why they want to research this effect, sonar and other industrial sounds are dangerous for whales and likely are part of the cause of the mass beaching's that occur. Understanding how to minimise their effects would be excellent. However the first step is surely to reduce marine noise pollution at source before trying to find a way to make it less dangerous to whales. Reduce the pollution, see the effect and if there is still then an issue discuss doing some experiments to alter the frequencies of things like sonar. This seems to be jumping to step two before even bothering about step one. SB
Noise pollution testing on whales in Norway on 09:22 - Jun 11 with 376 views | noggin | Norway still kills whales for food so hardly surprising they don't take their welfare too seriously.
