Saw Ian Dury at a Kings Cross Cinema all-nighter when he was with Kilburn and the High Roads.
Then again when he was with the Blockheads doing the Stiff Tour in the late '70's.
Elvis Costello + The Blockheads were the stand-out acts of the Stiff Tour for me.
The Stiff Tour changed the band running order at each gig. If you turned up late you might have missed the band you came to see expecting them to be the headline.
